THE SURVEILLANCE GROUP

Established in April, 2002 The Surveillance Group (TSG) is a subsidiary of Investigation & Security, Incorporated.  Honored by his professional colleagues with the 2001 International Investigator of the Year Award, Tom Herder is the Director of TSG. He was the owner of his own successful Private Investigation and Security business in western Michigan for 8 years before selling to his partner and moving to Minnesota to be closer to his children and grandchildren after the tragic events of 9/11.  Prior to opening his own agency, Tom honed his surveillance and management skills as an investigator and Vice President for another Michigan company.

Tom has personally been involved in and/or overseen two thousand investigations, the vast majority involving surveillance assignments pertaining to insurance fraud concerns, theft and domestic disputes. It is estimated that a reduction of more than $5 million in insurance claim settlements resulted from his company’s efforts in the field and in the courtroom. He will continue to be the Lead Investigator and participate in regular communications with the client as situations necessitate.  He has been involved in many professionally related organizations, serving as a Board member, Secretary, Executive Regional Director and Strategic Plan Chairman for the Council of International Investigators.  (www.cii2.org)
